Good area for work. Locals boat and catch/release in it but no swimming in polution.

The Fox Valley is the bomb. Aurora to be exact.
lived in IL all my life and never heard of that area called Illinois Valley, unless you mean the Illinois River Valley that runs all the way to Grafton, IL. I live on the Illinois River in Jersey Co. The area around LaSalle-Peru (nobody calls it Peru-LaSalle) is a nice area, but not real exciting. Mostly agriculture related industy. Starved Rock State Park is a very nice park
