Jelly Belly factory is pretty close to there -- free tours. Never been on it, but that sounds great. In the fall there's a great pumpkin patch with a corn maze just to the south / west on Rt. 50, but that's not open right now. Lambs Farm in Libertyville IL is not too far away and has a farm and games like mini-golf and a bounce house but that's closed in the winter too.
