Where can I get a very cheep hotel room in the Chicago loop so I can shower before a flight? |
Travel Info I work in the loop but live a 2 hour train ride away, and I don't have time to run home to shower then ride all the way back to the airport. But, I'll really need the shower cause I'll be on the fight all night. If someone knows a really cheap hotel (cheap beause I'll only use the room to shower, I won't stay there all night) or has any other ideas on the matter I would be very thankful. Travel Tips There was this place on Ohio Street that used to charge by the hour. Others try hotels.com I don't think there is such a thing as a cheap hotel in the Loop, and if it is it would be a dump. Just clean up in a private bathroom before the flight. Do you have some kind of oily discharge or skin problem that you can't put off a shower? Or take one in the morning before work instead of the night before. Or find a gym or health club and say you want to try it out before joining and just use the showers. The cheapest I found was on hotwire. I attached the link below. Too bad you don't have a gym membership where you could just pop in and take a shower at your gym and not have to worry about the hotel. Or some place like the YWCA. You're looking at close to $100 for anything that's not just one step up from a homeless shelter. There are gyms all over downtown, though--particularly north of the river. Most will have a fairly cheap day membership, and if you explain your situation you might even be able to use the shower for free. Support dmb's answer. Any YMCA will let you go in for less than five bucks and even use the sauna :) |
