Ohare airport chicago? |
Travel Info Is there a place to park with cell phone to know when to go the arrival terminal after the person gets into Ohare airport and calls you on their cell phone? Travel Tips Yes. If your friend is arriving from another city within the US, he/she will be arriving at either terminal 1, 2 or 3. If so park in lots B or C. They are outdoor lots and should allow pretty good cell phone transmission/reception. Also from either lot B or C, you can get on foot to Terminal 1, 2 or 3 in just minutes (see map from link below). If he/she is flying in from another country, he/she will be arriving in terminal 5 and you should park in lot D. You may even be able to park in the parking garage (labeled lot A on the map) also if your friend flies domestic. It's a lot closer to terminals 1,2 or 3 and you can still use your cell phone, I'm sure. Check it out. If your friend can call you on his/her cell phone from inside a terminal, you should be able to use yours in a parking garage. Another question for you. Why can't your friend tell you which airline and flight number he/she will be flying on? With that info, you can call the airline or go to their website and check on the arrival terminal way before the flight gets to O'hare? Source(s): http://www.chicagotraveler.com/chicago-o... Other Travel Tips Yes. It's going to be about 5 minutes from the terminals. http://www.flychicago.com/ohare/parkingo... I am going on the assumption that you do not want a pay parking lot? When I pickup people at O'hare, I park in some office building along Mannheim Road South of Higgins. You can then enter the airport property where the rental cars are or just South of that if you prefer. I have people call me when they either get their luggage or get to the luggage area assuming their planes luggage is being put out. Each door has a number and letter so you know where they will be. The number corresponds to the terminal number and the letters progress as you drive along the terminals: like 1D or 2H or 3A, etc. I am the transportation for relatives flying in and out of here. |
