Naperville / Chicago area? |
Travel Info I am looking for a suburb in between Naperville and Chicago that has some nice restaurants, shops, and stores - good for a single guy who also lives in the city - that would be a relatively easy commute to either Naperville in the morning or Chicago in the evening. Something, in other words, in between the two, perhaps off I-290. Any suggestions? Travel Tips I'm with Brat, Lagrange, Lagrange park, Hinsdale, Oakbrook, those are your best bet, they can be pricey of your looking for something more reasonable, try brookfield, Lyons, Hodgkins, Indian head park, or westmont. Others Villa Park Try the Brookfield/La Grange Area. You can take Ogden to them. Probably a lot of stuff on the way on Ogden, too. What kind of restaurants are you looking for? I know of a bunch of good ones in the area if you are looking for something in particular Off I-88 would be Oakbrook. and not far from Elmhurst. You might want to check out Elmhurst. I live in Chicago and have a friend in Naperville, we just met halfway in Elmhurst at a classy Turkish restaurant with hookahs at the bar. Most of the cities mentioned above really are either out of the way or expensive. Elmhurst and Villa Park are not near 88. For what you described the town you are looking for is Downers Grove. It has many restaurants and some pretty good sized ones just off of 88. Red Lobster, Olive Garden, North Beach, Jimmy Buffett's place and a Hooters. |
