Travel Info Anyone know the best way to reach Highland Park from downtown Michigan Avenue Chicago? I need to go on Friday and have a lot of luggage so taking the train is not a good option for me. Suggestions of taxis, limo services, other ideas? How much should this cost? What companies should I contact? Travel Tips Suburban cabs are generally a little cheaper than city cabs. They like to pick up fares back to the suburbs. City cabs don't like to get "stranded" so far away and want to charge a return fare...empty. Here are 3 Northshore cab companies. Call before leaving to make sure they give rides from Chgo to suburbs. Suburban cabs are prohibited from picking up in Chgo unless they have been called to the location beforehand. Other Travel Tips You could hire a private limo for about $50 (minus tip), if money is no object. Any Time Limo has a businessman special - $50 per hour for a Lincoln Town car.
