St. Patrick's Day in Chicago?!? |
Travel Info We will be up there the weekend of St. Pat's. Can anyone make any suggestions of what to do or where to party that night? Travel Tips The Metromix website has a whole slew of things going on on St. Patrick's day, from the parades (South Side Irish parade and the one downtown, to the bars). My suggestion: Go to Old St. Patrick's church in the west loop in the morning to ask for forgiveness for all the bad things you're going to do the rest of the day. That's what everybody else does... :) Source(s): http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/... Other Travel Tips All the most popular bars are along Rush Street. If you like blues, check out the Kingston Mines. It's a bit further north but they keep the place rockin' 'til 5am. In Chicago? On St. Patrick's day? Anywhere, babe. This is the town that dyes the Chicago River green - how many other places will do that? If you need more specifics, just ask the cabbie to take you to Rush Street, and write down the name and address of your hotel, so you can show the next cabbie where you need to go to get back. IF YOU WANNA PARTY, southside parade and southside bars this weekend on Sunday ..starts at 11am. If you like jazz check out the Green Mill. Check out the parade on the 17th and then hang out over on Rush Street. Chicago's fabulous elite always hangs out there! |
