I need a passport before the 25th of march. i have an appointment on the 22nd of march in downtown chicago? |
Travel Info the U.S. passport agency messed up with my passport application. i leave on a trip on march 25th. my passport will not get here in time. i have an appointment in downtown chicago on the 22nd of march. thats the earliest they could give me. do i get this passport the same day. i have tried calling the number they give me to talk to someone, but now they tell you to call back because the lines are to busy. thanks, any ibfo would be great Travel Tips Make sure to get there early for your appointment! If you are late, you won't get in, and tough luck--no passport! If you are not from Chicago, remember that you can get stuck in traffic (all the construction, don't ya' know...) and can be delayed an hour or more, depending on the time of day...plan accordingly. (I usually allow myself at least 2 extra hours...) And watch for the potholes this time of year--there are some really major ones that will swallow a car whole--and you can forget making your appt then! lol Others if you are using the expedited process, then you should. but it'll cost you like $200. if not, then the next day at the most. My friend went March 5th and while he was there a notice came through that even expedited applications were going to take at least 4 weeks.
