Are these safe neighbourhoods - northern suburbs of illinois? |
Travel Info i am trying to get an aparment and was wondering if you knew if these areas are safe Mount Prospect, IL Des Plaines, IL Arlington Heights, IL Wheeling, IL Buffalo Grove, IL Park City, IL Evanston, IL MOUNT PROSPECT, IL Glencoe, IL Glenview, IL Waukegan, IL Prospect Heights, IL Zion, IL Ingleside, IL palatine rolling meadows niles Thank you if you have an idea of even few that would be great Travel Tips None are bad towns. I'd stay out of Cicero, the south side and Chicago Heights. Others Harwood Heights is not far from Niles and many of the suburbs named above. Its a great neighborhood and close to almost everything. That's always a good question to ask when planning a move to a new neighborhood. All the municipalities you list are fairly safe. Of course most have not so good sections but overall are safe to live in. Even Waukegan, has some good parts. One problem with Illinois is that the cities do not report their crime stats to the Federal Government, so except for the major cities you have to really dig for individual town statistics. You should also consider Vernon Hills and Libertyville. That is also a pretty wide range of towns you list. You're talking from the Wisconsin border all the way down to O'hare airport. You might want to narrow it down some to areas that are closer to your work. Tops is Glencoe followed by Glenview, Arl Hts, Niles, then Evanston, DesPlaines, Buffalo Grove, Palatine, Wheeling, and Rolling Meadows. Finally, Mt Prospect, Prospect Hts, and Zion...forget parts of Waukegan, Ingleside and Park City. Waukegan can be a hit or miss. Be careful when looking there. The rest seem ok. Good luck.
