When are you going to be in Chicago? If during the summer months there is tons to do, including a movie in grant park on Tuesday (i think) nights, Lincoln Park Zoo, Fine dining or not so fine dining if that is your thing. There are festivals through out the summer that are a lot of fun. Don't miss the Blues or Jazz fest. If big crowds are you thing, try the taste of Chicago. The taste is right around the 4th of July so you can stay on the lake shore for fireworks and what not.

Of course shopping on the Mag Mile is an option, but I would recommend trying the shops further north in Lincoln Park area. Also, make sure to take in a Cubs game. So much fun, then go across the street to Murphy's for a beer and a burger.
