What's the most romantic city in Illinois? |
Travel Info Romantic Getaway? Travel Tips "Romantic" and "Illinois" don't normally go together in the same sentence. However, if you're a Chicagoan looking to get away, close to the city you might consider Geneva (which you can get to on Metra). If you want to drive further west, try Galena. Both of these are quaint old towns with nice little restaurants, bed and breakfast inns, and the like. If you're from rural Illinois, most people would say spending a weekend in the city at a nice downtown hotel would be the most romantic thing you can do.
