Any one know anything fun in Chicago,IL? |
Travel Info im going to chicago illinois nxt week and i wanna do something fun all i know tht's fun and there is the navy pier and coco key water resort . Travel Tips 1. The PIZZA! -Gino's East, a personal favorite -Lou Malnati's, my GOD this place is good -Giordano's, 2 words: deep dish. 2. The SHOPPING -Michigan Avenue. 'Nough said. 3. The SIGHTS -Navy Pier, always busy, but for a reason..it's awesome. -Millenium Park, the Bean is a MUST-SEE. And i think it's a bit late for iceskating, but they do make the ice rink a cafe in the summer. Personally i don't know what it is in spring. -Seriously, just walk around. Downtown is one of those places that you feel like exploring all day with a camera. I recommend seeing the whole block by the Tribune Tower and the Wrigley Building, it's gorgeous. 4. The MUSEUMS -Museum of Science and Industry, one of my favorites. Currently they have this exhibit on real bodies. My friend went there and she said there were real bodies with their real body parts everywhere. I heard it's pretty cool and i'm planning to go myself. -Field Museum, ever heard of Sue the Dinosaur? -Shedd Aquarium, i love this place. I've been probably 10 times in my entire lifetime (and i'm only 13) -The Art Institute, i went on a field trip there and i still had fun. Plus it's less than a block away from Millenium Park and very close to Michigan Ave. 5. The BEACH. I know it's chilly, but along Lakeshore Drive there are trails to bike, run, walk, whatEVER on and it's simply a must-see. -including the beauuuuutiful sunrise Hope you enjoy your weekend<3 Source(s): Born in Chicago, raised in Chicago, currently in Chicago. Other Travel Tips Go to UNOS pizza! yummmmmyyy Millenium park is pretty sweet if you want to look at a giant metal bean. They have some other stuff there as well. http://www.thisplaceiknow.com/place_view... There's also Grant Park a little bit south of there that has a really big fountain. It's the fountain that was in the opening credits of married with children. You can almost hear frank sinatra singing when you see it. Cafe Babareeba!!!! http://www.cafebabareeba.com/ You must go down Magnificent Mile (on michigan ave.) it has tons of shopping places (i.e. vigin records, bloomingdales, saks fifth, express, kenneth cole, etc.), there's always entertainment down that strip, it's almost like going to city walk in cali or florida. There's also the cultral center (on randolph and wabash) and if you're over 21 head over to the North side of chicago for some hot clubs, if you're not 21 +, there's still good eating and shopping on the north side and depending on when you're there you might get lucky enough to see some parades or market things. Anyways hope this helped, have fun in Chicago, I love it there! |
