Why is the running water in my Chicago apt. sometimes brown? |
Travel Info The other day I turned on the water in the bathroom to wash my hands. All of a sudden I noticed the water wasn't running clear. It was dirty! and sort of had a brownish/yellowish color to it. Can anyone tell me why? I thought water gets treated? What's the deal? Travel Tips It has happened in my apt building downtown too. Management ususally tells us that they are "flushing" the pipes or doing maitenance on them. And that water will run brown but just keep letting it run into it runs clear again. This is done after all maitenance has been performed and I usually only have to run the water for like 1-2 minutes but at each faucet (kitchen, bathroom sink and tub). But if it keeps occurring or does not go away then I would call managment for sure. Others That's disgusting! I bet your neighbor took a big dump in your pipes. Your in a down right ruddy apartment. Visited Chicago before. omg, thats discusting. talk to your apartment manager or what ever they re called. anyways, maybe you should talk to other people that live around you a.k.a your neighbors. ME |
