Chicago area transportation - Bloomingdale to Downtown Chicago? |
Travel Info I will be staying at a resort in Bloomingdale (Indian Lakes) for three days, then will be moving to the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago for three more days. The resort does not have a shuttle. What is the best way to get from Bloomingdale to downtown Chicago? Thanks. Travel Tips if I'm not mistaken the greyhound bus goes there. Also check metra. Others I believe you have to take a Pace bus (Route 653) from Bloomingdale to the Glen Ellyn Metra train station (Union Pacific West Line), and then the train to downtown Chicago. Check the Metra and PACE website for specifics (like where you can catch the Pace bus, ticket price, etc.). You can probably ask the desk person at the resort for info too. Dude if you have the cash take a taxi. There is always the Metra train but it is a big pain. The hotel desk can hook you up with either, but I would pay the $50.00 or so for the cab. Save your money. Take a cab to the nearest METRA train and take it right downtown. They are safe and clean and easy. Yes..it stops (30 seconds) at suburbs along the way..but kick back and read a magazine. It's not bad. |
