Chicago hotel: Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton which is nicer?

Travel Info
I'm traveling to Chicago for business and was hoping for opinions on which hotel is nicer: the Four Seasons or the Ritz-Carlton. They're both part of the same chain and our rates for them are very similar. Grateful for any opinions or recommendations. Thanks!

Travel Tips
As a travel consultant, located in a major city near Chicago, I have a lot of demand for upscale hotels in Chicago and visit there often myself. I don't think you can go wrong with either. They are located within a few blocks of each other, but the Ritz connects directly with Water Tower Place if you're interested in shopping during your stay. The Four Seasons is about a block off of Michigan Ave. Stayed at both, have had clients booked at both and some just prefer one over the other. My preference is the Ritz Carlton.

Business clients that I book into Chicago prefer the Park Hyatt. Besides being an upscale property, its style is a bit more contemporary and the Park Hyatt hotels cater more to business travelers.

Sounds like this is your first trip to Chicago. Both of these hotels are located in the heart of great shopping and great food. There are a lot of incredible restaurants in Chicago, Charlie Trotters, Tru, etc. but my favorite is Gibson's Steakhouse not far from these hotels at the corner of Bellevue and Rush. If you're taking clients out, this is great, but make a reservation. (312) 266-8999. If the weather's nice its a short walk.

If you prefer great seafood then Shaw's Crab House. Great atmosphere, great food, and entertainment. 21 E. Hubbard St. (short cab ride from your hotel). Reservations

Hope this helps. Have a great stay.

Ritz most Definitly!!!!~
For my money I like the Ritz. Although it is a little older and some folks don't like that. Both are well kept up and four stars.
