Prom is at the end of April, & we wanted to on a midnight cruise. They are booked or too expensive. Any ideas? |
Travel Info I tried Spirit of Chicago-affordable, but booked. Also looked into helicopter and balloon rides-too expensive. Most things in Chicago at night are drinking related, any ideas would be appreciated! Travel Tips What about Navy Pier? The Chrystal gardens are open for renting, then people could walk through Navy Pier and go on some of the rides if its nice enough. There is also space to rent in the Festival Hall Complex but I don't know how big your group is. They open up the roof top on May 1st but if your prom is the last weekend in April they may be willing to work with you on it. There is a ton of stuff to do so everyone would be happy. Here is the direct link to space available at the pier. http://www.navypier.com/events/event_spa... Hope this helps, have a great prom!! Others Take a big ball room and make it the cruise ship. Have a boarding ramp, issue tickets, etc. If you want to do something special in Chicago, I would suggest going to the Signature Room. It's a restaurant that's located on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building. They have music on the weekends, and an incredible view. It costs about 40-50 dollars a person. The location is great; the floor that the restaurant is on rises above all other buildings that are in a close proximity, and is close to the lake and located on the magnificent mile. I would highly suggest this place. My understanding is that you want to go after prom, right? Unfortunately, most of the cruises don't begin until May. Have you thought of a carriage ride? I can just picture it - tux, prom dress, Magnificent Mile...They're less expensive - $30 - $40 for half an hour, plus tip. http://www.thelocaltourist.com/chicago-c... |
