Chicago apartment HELP? |
Travel Info I am looking for a cheap furnished apartment to rent in July that is near Northeastern illinois university! I have almost spent 2 weeks searching everyday for one that is close to the university and that is furnished... does anyone know where i can find these kinds of apartments??? please help Travel Tips Have you tried checking the Reader? You can search online by neighborhood, size, rental range, and more. You could also try CraigsList. They have categories for short term and sublets, you can search by price, etc. I would also suggest contacting Northeastern University. You can search for off-campus housing on their website. Other Travel Tips You would have lots more options by renting an unfurnished apartment and then renting furniture. Try these: apts.com for the apartment instant furniture for the furnishings Hmm. I live in that area, and I don't know how much luck you'll have finding one that is furnished, but there are definitely cheap oppurtunities for unfurnished ones all over--it is one of the cheapest neighborhoods I've seen without being dangerous. Try the reader online @ chireader.com or craigslist.com. If you are open to a roommate, a great bet would be to search roommate listings because the apartment would already be at least partially furnished with their stuff. Also, the neighborhood names that you are probably wanting to look for in classified listings if you need to be near the university are Northpark, Albany Park, and Mayfair. good luck! The best way to search for apartments in the Chicagoland area is with the Sun Times. New listings come out every Wednesdays. |
