I'm taking a trip to Chicago on Friday the 13th and will be in the Lincoln Park area. Where should I go? |
Travel Info I've been there a few times before and have done all the typical tourist-y things. Any native Chicagoans have any suggestions? I'm going to a show Friday night and will need a place to head to hang out when it's over. And then all Saturday is free until the evening. Thanks! :) Travel Tips I suggest you stay away from those touristy places....get in some serious people watching at one or more of the following places: - Belmont between Clark and Sheffield - Rush Street - the subways or buses; great spots - around (not in) Wrigley If you are into music, I'd suggest you check out the Green Mill in Uptown (Broadway near Lawrence) or Jazz Workshop on Grand near State. For a quiet, after hours neighborhood bar, try the L&L on Clark near Belmont. Even the bathrooms are nice! Enjoy the greatest city in the world!! Others Lincoln Park has a great museum called, "Chicago Historical Society.". You are also very close to the famous Moody Bible Church. You may want to catch a service there. However, I would not wonder around the Lincoln Park area after dark. Have a great trip. I suggest that you go to the Linkin' Park area in Lincoln Park. Linkin' Park is a band that Links with Parks and Lincoln Park is the perfect park to link to. To a Cubs game of course..... Get to rush street....a must Head over to Dick's on the waterfront by the Navy Pier... Just ask everyone...lots of things to see. Geja's cafe on Armitage. It is an awesome fondue restaurant. Very romantic. Food and wine are great. lincoln park zoo Wrigley Field and a Cubs game. |
