HipHop/R&B Night Clubs in Chicago?

Does anyone know of any nice hip hop clubs in Chicago. I'll be in town next weekend and would like to go out. Preferable downtown.

I suggest The Funky Buddha Lounge www.funkybuddha.com also it's a club call D'vine 1950 W. North Ave. Check out www.metromix.com it can guide you a little better with the Chicago nightlife.... Oh yeah check out Prop House on 1675 N. Elston Ave as well Funk Bar By Clark and Division it's allot of clubs there... Enjoy Chicago while you here...

While the others have mentioned a few clubs that play hip hop, you shouldn't overlook clubs that have hip-hop nights. Some clubs play different types of music different nights of the week. One night it might be hip hop, the next it might be rock, etc. For instance, there's a club called Subterreanean that featured a DJ duo called Flosstradaums once a week, which might be cool to check out. Another place called the Smart Park has some funk/groove music nights, rock nights on other days./ Your best bet is to pick up a copy of Time Out Chicago magazine when you get here. It has a pretty good listing of all of the Clubs in Chicago. You can check out their website too. Not only do they list the clubs, but who's DJing that particular night of the week, what sort of music they spin, etc. It's pretty comprehensive.
