you might mean "the bean" a round shiny sculpture thing in millenium park....just a guess.

The only place I think you might be talking about is the Thompson Center, located on Randolph St.
Sounds like you are talking about the greenish building that is on Wacker Drive where the North and South branches of the Chicago River meet.

It is just called 333 W. Wacker. It's a very popular building: nice style, simple and it reflects the river.

The Thompson Center (I think that's what it's called?) is shiny and sort of flying saucer shaped. It is in the north loop (at Clark and Lake) and is where you can transfer to a lot of different L lines and there is sort of a food court type thing there as well, with some non food stores too.

Maybe that's what you mean?
