How close is The Museum of Science and Industry to Navy Pier? |
Travel Info How close is The Museum of Science and Industry to Navy Pier? Travel Tips Not close at all. To get from one to the other you have to either drive or take a long bus ride. If you were to drive from one to the other it would take about 20 minutes. A bus is about an hour (since you'd probably be making a lot of stops) and you'd have to change buses once you got downtown. And no offense to the other answerer, but you wouldn't want to walk. The Museum of Science and Industry is 5700 S. Lake Shore drive navy Pier is 600 E. Grand Ave, past the Loop and east. I supposed you could walk if you really wanted to. If you left the museum at 8 a.m., you'd probably get to Navy pier by 3 p.m. I assume she was thinking of the Field Museum which is not that far. Others It's not far at all - about 1 mile up Lake Shore Drive. On a nice day you can most certainly walk from one to the other. Far...Navy Pier is downtown....and the Museum of S&I is near 63rd street. So thats over 5 miles. Not close at all Museum of Science and Industry is on 55th and Lake Shore Drive. Navy Pier is in the Downtown area. So i guess it's 5-6miles to Musem of Science Industry from Navy Pier... Definitely not walkable.....and you don't want to walk around 55th Street anyway. Navy Pier is the origin of Grand Avenue and is just North of the Loop area. The distance is almost 8 miles. Not very close. That is a museum that is not with all the others on the lake front. It's a bit farther south. You would have to take a cab. |
