I want to take a trip to Chicago in July. Trying to find a good location and hotel to stay at.? |
Travel Info I want to attend a Chicago Cubs game when I'm there as well as see some other tourist spots. DOes anyone have any recommendations. Would be willing ot pay up for a hotel if it is worth it. Travel Tips Here's a link to a pretty cool website called "Out of the Ballpark" (http://www.outoftheballpark.com/).... It lists almost every hotel, bar, restaurant, tourist attracton, etc. near Wrigleyfield. It even tells you the best way to get around. It's a pretty handy guide if I say so myself... Hope it helps. Others Stay on the Magnificient Mile. There are tons of tourist sites in this vicinity. try best western stay at the marriot, i stayed there while i was auditioning for some small acting roles, for like two weeks, awsome hotel!! very comfortable, great workers( they leave the chocolates on your pillow, which is a huge plus!) but yeah, i highly recomend it! I'm also going to Chicago soon. A friend said I should take the River Boat Cruise, 2 hrs, through city via river, docent explains beauty & history etc. Said was very interesting. I like to take a little tour when visiting a big city, gives me my bearings before venturing off on my own. Hope you have a great time. If you're willing to pay a lot, stay on or around Michigan Avenue - it's the hot tourist area, and right near the Chicago stop on the Red Line, which will take you directly to Wrigley Field (Addison stop, also on the Red Line). If you want to be within walking distance of Wrigley Field, you might consider the Best Western Hawthorne Terrace at Hawthorne and Broadway. It's a really nice hotel, and in the middle of one of the most fun and vibrant areas of Chicago. |
