Help at the airport please!?!?

Travel Info
I get to spend a long time at night at the Chicago airport. Any ideas on what to do to pass the time?

Travel Tips
I assume your talking about O'Hare.

Well, most things close down around 9 pm. One time I arrived in Chicago at 4 in the morning and there were a bunch of people sleeping on cots in the gate areas. I'm not sure if that's an every night type thing or something due to a flight delay.

If you have a laptop with wireless, there is wifi available for 10 bucks a day I believe.

The coffee shops may stay open late.

You can walk along all the concourses.

There are some kiosks for internet if you don't have a laptop.

Or you can just find a quiet dark corner in a gate area and sleep.

first of all which airport are you at--there are two--Midway and OHare. I guess you can take the train into downtown and sightsee. The Orange Line from Midway is not 24 hours but the Blue Line from OHare is. A train ride will cost you $2 and is 20 mins from Midway and 30ish from OHare. If you wanna stick around the airport Im pretty sure you can find a bar/lounge to hang out in...good luck!
from Chicago
Depends which airport - there's more to do at O'Hare than Midway. If it's long enough a layover, you might seriously consider going into the city. The L runs to both airports and is 45 minutes to downtown from O'Hare and 30 minutes to downtown from Midway. If you're stuck for six hours or something, it's probably worth your time to take the L downtown and have dinner.
there are lots of little shops there. also there is a hotel right at the airport if you want to pay. it is either the hyatt or the hilton.
I don't know your money situation but I would suggest the Hilton at the airport. If you can get a room that way you have a comfy bed.
If you cannot get a hotel room then I would suggest bring a lot of things to pass the time books, computer, travel pillow, etc. Some of the restaurants/bars/shops stay open later.
