Travel Info I will be visiting Chicago soon, what are some "must see" places you guys would recommend? Travel Tips Don't miss: Millennium Park A river boat ride Navy Pier Rock 'n' Roll McDonalds on Ontario (a must-see!) The Art Institute (it has a lot of classics by all the famous artists, including "American Gothic" which is that weird one of the farmer and the wife with a pitchfork--it is really cool up close and worth seeing) Lincoln Park Zoo (it's free) Oak Street or North Avenue Beach Water Tower or 900 N. Michigan for shopping (personally, I think 900 N is better) Funky little boutiques on Broadway in the Lakeview neighborhood Mia Francesca or Fly Me to the Moon for an Italian dinner Penny's noodles for cheap but good Thai food Cubs game! (sit in the bleachers if you're a partier, or in "real seats" if you're on the quieter side and actually like baseball) Have a great time. You can't have a bad time in Chicago--it's a really great city. Others you ve got to visit the cabrini green housing projects me mall of america Navy Pier, any of the museums, Gino's East for pizza, Buckingham Fountain along the lake front, The big ones: The Sears tower or the Hancock tower Art Institute Field Museum Shedd Aquarium Millenium Park, to see the Cloud Gate sculpture Lincoln Park Zoo Walk along the Chicago River Don't listen to the Cabrin Project comment! You have to visit the Italian Village for eating and the Museum of Science and Industry. To pass the time I would also go to Navy Pier. Hope you have a great time! |
