Your definition of reasonable may differ from mine but the hotels I like are: The James on East Ontario, The Ritz is always nice but never really reasonable. The Hotel Monaco on N Wabash or The House of Blues Hotel. If you are looking more towards the suburbs then the Marriott in Schaumburg is nice, as well as the one in Oak Brook, Embassy Suites in Lombard, most of the ones in Naperville are fine as well.

Please define resonable and around Chicago? This varies between various folks.
The Congress plaza Hotel is fine. You don't have to pay very much and its location is perfect.
