Travel Info I'll be in Chicago in early July for 5 days for a convention (never been) I鈥檓 staying at the Sheraton Towers which I guess is a good place to be? I'm interested in what you'd recommend. I'm also interested in the club scene... I like R&B guitar blues type stuff. Thanks in advance... Travel Tips The taste may or may not still be going on but check out these two sites, just plug in your date(s): Metromix.com and Citysearch.com and select the type of events/places you'd like to go. * go over to the navy pier * check out the magnificent mile to get the lady in your life a great gift and to wow them (Chicago's Rodeo Drive) *go to the top of the sears tower, America's tallest building, once the worlds *take a boat ride or lunch/dance/dinner boat cruise *if you're a geek or just like such things hit museum row Go to the Buddah Lounge, you'll like it but dress nice and look fab for Chicag/NYC/Miami and LA it is about who looks the best as to how long they will make you wait to get in. Others Head to Halsted street around Fullerton. Walk north and check out Kingston Mines and B.L.U.E.S., two of the top blues clubs in the city. Also, check out the Metromix website (http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/).... You can search for bars and clubs according to what type of music you're looking for. |
