Any place to visit nearby chicago during the long weekend ???? |
Travel Info I live in Chicago, & dont want to spend the long weekend at home, I m going to rent a car, but not sure of which places to visit nearby Chicago. Suggestions please, thanks in advance Travel Tips I agree ... stay in Chicago and do something totally different that you've never done before (i..e pretend you're a tourist). Take one of the river architectural tours (http://www.chicagoline.com/). Go on a "haunted Chicago" tour (http://www.chicagohauntings.com/)... and then go for dinner somewhere you have been before. Do a Gray Line tour (http://www.grayline.com/grayline/destina... or go "crib" from their web site and plan your own tour. Others you're from Chicago...why would you want to leave the greatest city on earth?...Catch a Sox game...but if you really want to leave, Milwaukee an hour away, St Louis 4 hours away, even head to Springfield and catch some of the sights there. Ooh, Windycityson must be a speeder! Whenever I've driven to St. Louis, it's been more like a five or six-hour drive. ;-) You can't possibly have done all there is to do in Chicago. What are your interests? Maybe we can guide you toward some ideas for things to do in or near town. Go over to Navy Pier, weather is great right now to catch a boat ride and tour the city as well. gurnee six plags ,navy pier |
