But there's lots to do here, and it's a more hometown feel to it than NYC or LA. Hope you come... People You will love the midwest people. You can live on the outskirts if you like and easily get to the city via mass transit, bike or car. Not sure where you are coming from but once you go to the lakefront you will know why we are the best city. The skyline is fantastic and the lakefront path is enjoyable at least 9 months out of the year. GREAT F OOD! We have the best pizza on the planet. New York pizza is horrible. The toll booths on the tri-state toll way accepts pennies in the exact change lane. You will give the police officer your drivers license if you get a moving violation -it will be returned to you after you've had your day in court. Almost everyone knows the words to LSD but many don't know the words to the Lincoln Park Pirates-which is the greatest Chicago song ever written It is one of the few places in America where a person can die of heat or cold in the same year.
