How is the Chicago subway system? |
Travel Info Is it good, does it link all parts of the Chicago Metropolitan area? Are there a lot of stops? Travel Tips Very easy to use and pretty quick as long as it isn't rush hour or you are by Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. Others Yes, it's really great. You can get just about anywhere on it - buses are good too. Just don't go alone late at night. I lived there 2 years ago before moving here - rode the public transportation alot. It's good, although it's been having some problems lately with construction and poor scheduling. Still, it goes to both airports and all over Chicago's downtown, and it's a very good way to get to most parts of the city. Chicago "L" system is pretty cool it's not as confusing as New York train system. Each line is color coded.. REDLINE BLUELINE.....Unlike NYC ABCE 658 WTF. I dont get you to all of Chicago areas but it will get you to all they're major bus services.. Check out www.yourcta.com and look at there area map.... The L is a great system, can get you pretty much anywhere you want in the city. There is some construction going on right now but, for the most part, the system is pretty efficient. The trains are fairly clean and regularly scheduled. There are, of course, some interesting characters and features about the Chicago Transit Authority.
