Is Woodridge, il a good place to live? |
Travel Info My husband took a new job in Chicago. We live in Detroit. He doesnt want to live in Chicago but he doesnt want to commute too far. Everyone tells be that Woodridge is a great place to live. Any suggestions? He likes the suburbs. Travel Tips I hate to burst a bubble here but Woodridge has quite a few subdivisions for Section 8 housing. Downers Grove which is next door is nicer and closer to the train line. Others Woodridge is a pretty nice place to live; I have a friend who lives there, she says it's decent. From what I've seen, there's a lot of subdivisions. If that's your thing, then great! As far as living in the suburbs and working in Chicago, he shouldn't have to commute too far. If your husband doesn't like driving, you can make sure to live near a Metra station. Most of these trains make many trips to and from downtown Chicago every day. They're nice! There's a ton of public transportation that makes commuting easier. Hope you like it here! Woodridge and areas like Downers Grove, Westmont, are good places to live. Good Fire-Police-EMS services, good schools, good food, good transportation.Welcome to Illinois!! Woodridge ans the surrounding suburbs are fine, especially with kids. Commute is about average distance from the Loop. Woodridge is a good area. Theres lots of nice suburbs..La Grange is very nice, you might want to check it out. Take at look at Wheaton and Naperville. |
