Where Can I Find Chicago Moving Transporation... Taxi, Shuttle, Van, Please Help!? |
Travel Info I need to move from my studio apartment in the gold coast to my new place in the west loop. I live in furnished apartments so all I am moving is about 5 suitcases and 3 or 4 boxes. What is my best option? Should I rent a car, will a taxi help, can I request a taxi (van) to wait while I load and unload, please help me. Travel Tips Gotta concur with the other... U-Haul is the best option. You can rent a basic flatbed truck, a van or a mini-moving van. Since you're only moving a few things, get the pickup truck. It's about $20 to rent plus $0.79 per mile. You have to return it with a full tank of gas too. If you're in the Gold Coast, the closest U-Haul is at 1015 N. Halsted. I am guessing you dont hav ea car from this so i would say find out what U-Hauls cheapest truck is probably 19.95 and find out how much it would cost you to rent a car. i am guessing u-Haul would be cheaper i say take a taxi but if you can, walk. if your going far, take the train |
