Is the traffic worse in Chicago or Los Angeles? |
Travel Info I'm moving from LA to Chicago. I've heard Chicago traffic is terrible, but could it possibly be worse than LA?? Travel Tips Depends on where you're trying to go and what time you're trying to get there. For instance, everything heading into the downtown area on a weekday morning is packed. I live near Lake Shore drive and it's jammed from about 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., But by 10 a.m it's smooth sailing. Same for most of the other routes. And on the weekends, Lake Shore Drive is pretty easy driving all the way through, like the other roads. And as far as side streets, again, depends on where you have to go and what time you have to get there. I sometimes drive to work and I go through an area that included North Ave. Clybourn and Halsted. When I go through on weekday mornings, no problem. In fact, it's my alternate route to work. But try to drive through there on a weekend... forget about it. It's filled with shops and stores and restaurants and it's jammed. It all depends on where you going and what time. If you want to know a specific route, submit that and someone can tell you what it's like. Others would it matter anyways take the bus if you dont want to drive No. LA is worse than Chicago. Actually Miami scored number one city for road rage two years in a row! Chi-town can't be as bad as that. LA Chicago, you don't have as many alternate routes as L.A. professional truck driver This may sound odd but, a few months ago I was in LA for a conference and had the opportunity to drive.I loved driving in LA.I drove all over and never hit any traffic.We had to go grammar/high schools school in the LA unified school district and this is huge compared to Chicago.I normally avoid the expressways because I hate to sit in traffic so,I normally take the side streets which are pretty quick if you know where your going and leave at a good time. |
