How do you ride a CTA bus? (this is for Chicago residents only)? |
Travel Info How do you ride a CTA bus? (this is for Chicago residents only)? Travel Tips First of all, you'll want to figure out where you're going. The CTA website has a trip planner, so you can put in your starting address and your arriving address and it will tell you what routes you should take. You also put in your arrival or departure time. You can pay cash each time you board, and it's $2. Or, you can get a one day visitor's pass for $5 with unlimited usage on both buses and trains. There are other options available on their website. The bus stops themselves have signs with the route numbers and a general idea of their routes, but if you're not familiar with Chicago streets that won't do you much good. Source(s): http://transitchicago.com/ http://www.thelocaltourist.com/transport... Other Travel Tips wow, local tourist is GOOD. I'm pretty sure there is NO change on a bus, make sure you're exact. I think Cash ride is $2, although I have been let on the bus at Millenium Park and get off at Michigan Ave for free because I did not have exact change (and was 6 months pragnant). There's also a free trolley system that covers the loop, navy pier, Michigan Ave., etc. Or do you mean, How do you ride a CTA bus, as in do you keep your head buried in a newspaper, tune out by listening to music, stare out the window and avoid making eye contact? If so, I do all three at the same time!!! U STAND AT THE BUS STOP.... THAT'S GOING TO TAKE TO YOUR DESTINATION... GO TO RTA.COM... FOR TIMES AND RATES... I WAS GOING TO BE A SMART A**... LOL.. BUT IT WASN'T WORTH IT... BUT ANY CTA BUS DRIVER WILL GIVE U INFO... BUT THEY MIGHT BE RUDE ABOUT IT... BUT HEY IT'S WORTH A TRY.. |
