Transportation from O`hare to evanston? |
Travel Info I have found two options to commute from O`Hare intl airport to my hotel in evanston. One is the airport express shuttle, which provides a shared van from all the terminals to all major hotels in evanston. Another one seems to be Northshore taxi, who do not charge extra for going into suburb and you can ask them for a flat rate. Please recommend me which is better. And how much is the going flat rate by taxi to evanston? Thanks for your response! Travel Tips Go to the Airport Exprees site to make an online reservation. A typical one to the Evanston Orrington Hotel costs $29.00. http://www.airportexpress.com/hotels.htm... Norshore is the Evanston cab company. North shore is a competitor located in North Chgo. According to their site $29.00 is the flat rate from ORD to Evanston: http://www.norshorecab.com/ The cab would be better. Don't expect one to be sitting at ORD however. You will have to make arrangements for a pick-up. Call the phone # when you are at baggage. By the time you pick up the bags your cab will be waiting at an arranged location. Others Well Evanston isn麓t that far from o麓hare so it should be about 25.00 dollers at the most... I lived on the northside, about 20 min from evanston ( I am from chicago, But now live in Barcelona, Spain) so i am well aware.. If you don麓t feel comfortable going into evanston via the northshore taxi service, take the airport shuttle, it may be a little cheaper but may take longer... By the way once you get to evanston , you can take the purple line, transfer to the redline which leaves you in Downtown Chicago.. it takes about 45 min with transfer included.. ( just a little tip, if you haven麓t rented a car yet) Take care and good luck.. Bcn_mimosa |
