Travel Info What is better....California or Illinois(Chicago)? Travel Tips Well, stricly speaking on a state basis, I'd have to admit it and say California. The mountains, redwood forests, beaches, etc. Illinois is pretty flat and other than cornfields, nothing much is happening downstate. But on a city vs. City basis (Chicago vs. Los Angeles). I'd take Chicago. So what LA has "beautiful people"... it's kinda dirty, smoggy, too spread out. Chicago, for a city of it's size, is pretty clean and easy to get around. Others well coming from a chicago boy chicago and you r wearing a chicago shirt Chicago. California is 3x more expensive, and doesn't offer nearly the fun that Chicago does, my personal opinion. But on the bright side, if you can't afford a house or rent on a miniscule apartment, you can just live on the beach... And believe me, CA may be fun, but if you can't afford anything, there's not a whole lot of fun to be had. Lived in CA for 6 years, been to Chicago many times, have family that lives in Chicago, moving to Chicago in a few years. The cost of living is so high in both areas, but there is snow in Chicago. I would go to Cali if I were you. Chicago. I lived in Chicago for 3 years and loved every minute of it, and I'm in California now and I hate every minute of it. I can't wait to move back! |
