Travel Info What would you say about Chicago, how would you describe Chi-town,some good things and something that you don't like Travel Tips Great architecture, great restaurants, sorta great public transportation, great sports town (Ok, so not every team wins), great music town (you name it, it's played here), great mix of ethnicities, great lakefront, great summer festivals, great museums, great cost of living (compared to other cities this size, we're pretty cheap), great literary town, great theater town, great regular guy bars, great location. Bad things: lousy city government (gee, wonder who got indicted/arrested today?), shaky public transportation (when it works, it's great. when it doesn't, it affect almost everything else), sometimes brutal winters (but it is Chicago, so whaddya gonna do?), still has big pockets of segregation, weak response to crime (in my opinion), too many condos, not enough affordable housing (althought the city is just now trying to correct that). Others It is a beautiful city - great museums and similar attractions. The pizza is the BEST! Giordanno's is my personal fave. There are a lot of homeless people, but most of them just stand there with their cup rather than approaching people. It's cold in the winter. To someone who's never been to Chicago I would say, you need to visit. There's incredible architecture to see here, some of the best food in the world, plenty of great entertainment from our famous art museum to sports events.Everyone should see Wrigley Field at least once. Great theatre that rivals anything you might see on Broadway. I know there's a lot I'm leaving out. Come to Chicago. You're guaranteed a great time. Bad about Chi-town... Love Chicaga, gotta tellya... been there twice, hella fun... as Cartman would say... no, it's a cool place. no troubles.. problem? homelessness like any big town... I live in Reno, and we do all we can... can't help enough... Good about Chikaga... FUN, EASY going, a lot like N'orleans... mind your manners, don't get in anyone's face and all's cool.. Spent a night in a U-Haul once in Chi-town... all good. It's a great city (in my opinion) that doesn't get enough credit. And, you can get a really good Philly cheese Steak or Italiano Pizza...and really, the measure of a city is it's cuisine... lol. A group of differing individuals making everything ok, for the most part, GO CHICACHICABOOM... It is great! Extremely cold for a third of the year... Go to the museums and to the top of the Sears Tower. Gino's Pizza and Pizzeria Uno are also delicious! There really is a lot to do... shopping, theater, sports, tourist attractions. Have fun! Chicago is one of the best city in U.S.A. . You will find everything in the city. It is clean, people are friendly, the most beautiful skyline, very good food, good sports fans, best pizza, one of the best public transportation, good schools and colleges. There is nothing that I don't like about Chicago. Go Bears!!! Only things I don't like is the road construction and the weather. But they are needed to help keep the population down. Otherwise everyone would want to live here. :) |
