Travel Tips The address for the dog friendly beach is: Montrose Beach Wilson Avenue and the Lake Chicago, IL 60640 You don't want to let your son swim there! You might want to check out 12th street beach to take your son. It's right next to the Adler Planetarium. If you get there early enough (around 9:00am) on a day they don't bag the meters. It's a half-hour for a quarter and I know you can put at least up to eight hours at a time in the meter. Also, should it rain, you're right next to the Planetarium and steps away from Shedd and The Field! Others Try Montrose Harbor. There's a new dog beach think there that's much bigger than the one near Belmont Harbor. And the "human beach" is right near by. The dog section is fenced off though. the dog beach is at montrose. i was there last year and it was a lot of fun! make sure your dog has all of the necessary dog tags; i saw cops there checking. No dogs on the beach. Oak Street Beach is good. North Avenue is OK, but can have some gang bangers. I always liked Montrose Beach up north. |
