How early should I go 2 see John Mayer at the Taste of Chicago?

I want to be able to see him, I am on the short side (5'2) and I can never see with peoples heads in the way. How early do you think I should get there to be in the front? He will be playing on July 4th, it will be crowded.

He is part of the 3 PM show. Things usually open at 11 AM. I would suggest being there by 1 PM at the latest. I might be over at Billy Goats having a cheeseburger.
