Check out www.metromix.chicagotribune.co... for event and planning suggestions. Consider a boat tour of the architecture ... if the weather's nice it's great to be on a boat just viewing this beautiful city (http://www.architecture.org/tour_view.as... You could also stay late enough to do a "haunted Chicago" tour (http://www.chicagohauntings.com/schedule... ... a friend of mine went and said it was a little wacky sometimes, but fun. Head up to the Signature Lounge around sunset to have a pricey drink but awesome view 95 floors up at the Hancock Tower: http://www.signatureroom.com/lounge/defa... You could go to Lincoln Park Zoo. It's a fun place to just wander around and look at the animals. There's also a botanical center (Lincoln Park Conservatory) right outside the zoo. Both the zoo and the botanical center are free! Parking is $24 for 5+ hours, less if you park for less time. Zoo website: http://www.lpzoo.com/ |
