Where in/around the chicago area can I find a secluded spot for a romantic picnic?

Travel Info
Preferably near a body of water, pond or lake. Would definitely love a spot on the beach, but I can't imagine a secluded spot easy to find. I'm thinking about being there around noon, and possibly stay there into the evening. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Travel Tips
The forest preserves are probably your best bet for a secluded area.

You Should picnic along the shore of Lake Michigan it is so Beautiful it is on the beach to.If you want to be their at noon you really need to get a good spot were you could see the sun go down at.It should happen around maybe 6 or 7:00 pm it is really pretty trust me.
There's some nice spots around the lake by the Lawrence Ave. exit off LSD. When you enter the parking area and head south, there's a dog beach and just on the other side is a "people" beach. It's a little north (4800), so it's not very crowded. We take our kids there all the time.
If you can find it, there's a little park in Evanston that's really nice. It's right near the lake, there's a little lagoon with a fountain in the middle, grass. No beach though. It's where Evanston holds their annual Ethnic Festival. Other than during the festival, it's never reallly crowded. Just college students sitting in the park studying, etc. It's actually not that hard to get to if you're driving. Take Sheridan Road all the way up through the north end of Chicago (Rogers Park) and stay on it into Evanston. Keep driving on Sheridan and eventually you will run by this little park. You can't miss it. You'll see the little lagoon. If you start seeing Northwestern University campus, you've gone too far. I'd scout it out first to make sure you know how to get there, then take that special someone.

The other suggestions people have given here, however, sound great too.
A great area to check out is the Museum Campus. Go down to 12th street beach and keep walking south. Down to the area that used to be Miggs Field. There are a lot of really cute secluded areas back there and they're all along the lake. If you go on a Saturday and plan to stay into the evening you can also catch the fireworks from Navy Pier. It's pretty great.

Plus, if they don't have the meters bagged by Adler Planetarium you can park at the meters for a half-hour/quarter for several hours at a time (at least eight).

Have fun!
