CTA bus help (chicago transit authority) help plzzzzzzzzz? |
Travel Info I just want to know if a student wants to ride the CTA bus does they have to pay one dollar or two dollar like the regular non student people....thank u so much Travel Tips You will need to get a student rider permit. You will need to apply for one at the CTA $5 during the school year and $2 during the summer. You can purchase it at 567 west lake street. My son is always losing his and I know you can't purchase them anywhere else. This is where I have to go to get the replacement sometimes, they don't even have them and we have to come back when they get more in.The price is 85 cents but you need to show the permit and the school ID if they ask for it.You cant get the discount with only the school ID. Others http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/fares... http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/rider... Looks like it's 85 cents. Look through your local college/university to see if they offer the U-Pass...this pass would entitle you to the student fares...if you're only a high school student you would need to show your school pass to the driver. http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/upass... http://www.transitchicago.com/maps/fares... (for high school students) |
