Wheres the closest place i can get them Travel Tips You should go to Sam's Club in merriville, Indiana.You will need a membership card ($40 unless you already have one)and you will be required to by a permit for $10.You will need this permit to buy fireworks in any store in Indiana.If you decide to the buy them at the closest place you will get busted by the police and they will impound your car so, be careful if you go this weekend.Sam's is the cheapest place to get them and don't fall for the two for one.The larger firework stores will rip you off.You can buy $500 worth of fireworks at Sam's for $300. Other Travel Tips The first place over the border is a place called Krazy Kaplan's....its at the first exit into Indiana (Calumet Avenue) off of I-80. You would get off going northbound and its just after the first light on the left side. Note that this is also a School Supply Store during the school year. If you feel like making the drive there is a place further up on I-94 (past where I-80 goes with I-90) called Shelton's Fireworks...its a converted barn full of fireworks.
