Would you recommend that I rent a car on my trip to Champaign? |
Travel Info I am staying at the Hawthorne suite and fear that there will not be any cabs to get me to local resturants, etc. Travel Tips Don't waste your money renting a car - there are tons of restaurants close to your hotel and if you need to get a taxi to take you somewhere it will still be way cheaper than a car rental. Also like the poster before me - the city has a great bus service that is cheap and very clean. Source(s): Live nearby. Other Travel Tips Champaign has a good bus system that is easy to navigate. There are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance from the Hawthorne. Depends on how much driving you are going to do. If you are going to use it just to get a meal, I suggest you call a cab on the phone and arrange for a pick up time. There are cab companies in the yellow pages of any phone book. If you are doing some sight seeing or buisness then I suggest you rent a car. |
