What Fun Things Are There To Do For Free Or Cheap During The Summer In Chicago For 18 yr. Old's? |
Travel Info Alot of things you have to be 21 or older to do after a certain time. Alot of my friends have jobs that involve working until about 10 p.m so we arn't able to get the night started till like 11 pm. Also I need things to do during the day when people don't have to work. Thanks for your help Travel Tips Race track (Arlington Park) Great America Museums (some are free or discounted) Pick a different museum every week. A play (some of the smaller ones are inexpensive) The free events in grant park. Taste of Chicago and all the various music events. Visit the tall ships when they come. Walk along navy pier. Bike ride along the lake. Paint ball fights. Bowling (personally not into that) Miniature golf Others Hi there....here are some suggestions for you.... First, you can always go to Lincoln Park Zoo and walk around there....no admission fees and you could even bring your own lunch...so a bonus. While you're at the Zoo you can always walk out towards the lakefront.....heck walk either all the way up to Hollywood Beach or the other direction towards downtown and south (Hyde Park)....lots of parks along the way. You never did mention if you lived in the city or suburbs....if you do live in the city or in one of the suburbs right outside of Chicago, check your local Public Library....if you have a valid card you would be eligible to check out free passes to some o the museums of Chicago such as the Field Museum, Art Institute, Museum of Science and Industry, and even the Chicago History Museum....you have a week to use a pass....now this only gets you in for general admission but there is always a lot to see at the Chicago Museums. Don't forget to check out the different fairs that Chicago has to offer....free to get in all you would need is money for food. Taste of Chicago has free entertainment in concerts and they have a good lineup this year. You can also check out the City of Chicago website I posted below...Daley Center in the Loop always has free programs during the day. Hope this helps....you can check out the links below. Have fun this summer! http://www.chipublib.org/003cpl/partners... (for the free museum passes) http://www.lpzoo.com/ (Lincoln Park Zoo) http://www.cityofchicago.org (be sure to click on activities) If u live in the northside. There are a lot of Hookah Places to go to. Like Cafe Nefertiti on Lawrence Street and Carthage Cafe on Foster Street. A lot of High School Seniors go there to chill and smoke hookah every night. Or u want something fun and scary at night.... Drive to Forest Way of Winnetka, IL. Take 94N exit on Willow East and turn left on Forest Way. This drive is the scariest drive in IL. |
