Does anyone know a very great ,high class hotel, by Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL.? |
Travel Info I am going to Six flags with my family and my family always find it hard to find a very good hotel. Please help me out!! Remember Gurnee, IL Travel Tips If you want a 'high class' hotel you will have to travel farther from the park... all the hotels right around the park (and there are quite a few) are your average hotels. The best local hotel is the Holiday Inn. I know it the name may not be associated with 'high class', but i have been inside (i delivered pizza for 2 yrs) and it is nicer than any other hotel in the area, and i've been inside each one... You can get executive rooms, but plan in advance if you want one of those. If you go as far as Highland Park, you can find a Courtyard by Mariot, but that probably won't be worth the distance compared to the Holiday Inn. P.S. If you stay in Gurnee which i advise, there is practically every amenity within 5 minutes of the hotel (shopping mall, tons of restaurants, etc.) Source(s): 17 yrs living in Gurnee Other Travel Tips None around Gurnee, Lincolnshire has some but they are mostly for business people. If you go to www.sidestep.com you can get the list of the hotels in Gurnee. Good Luck, you are in a great spot if you plan on staying for more than just a couple days. I Live here I am not sure what you mean by high class hotel...if you mean a Hyatt or any others like downtown Chicago then you'd have to go further south. The types of hotels around Great America include places like Baymont Inn, Holiday Inn, etc....check out www.hotels.com for an idea of whats up there. (be sure to choose Gurnee, Illinois).
