What are the best places to go camping in chicago? |
Travel Info ok the whole family whants togo one night under the stars...(camping) well i never gonne cAMPING in my life and i want to know how to plan it. i want to know were also, i have no idea of one around in chicago! can someone help me witha website or something....thanx! Travel Tips There is no camping allowed in the city or suburbs. The closest is probably in Zion at the Illinois State Beach Park. Weekday camping is probably less congested....M-Th. Get tents, some sleeping bags, pillows, some food, cooking stuff and utensils, camping chairs, flashlights, fishing gear, hiking gear, swimming gear, extra shoes/sandals, stuff for a camp fire, and stuff for the bathroom (there is no bathroom in the woods, but some campsites have primitive washrooms that you can walk to). |
