Things to do in Chicago in only 2 days? |
Travel Info Hey Guys, I'm taking a road trip across the country in about a week. One of the stops is Chicago. I wanted to know from locals or people who have been there... What is the list of must-see things if I only have 2 days there? Thanks in advance! Travel Tips Free places in downtown that you can visit: Navy Pier Grant Park (Also called Millenium Park), this is where the bean is Buckingham Fountain Paid places: Art Institute of Chicago (if you are an art lover) Shedd Aquarium (if u visit this then go for Coral Reef too) Adler Planetarium Museum of Industry and Science I would suggest just drive around downtown to see the architecture. It is beautiful with every building having its own characteristic. You could probably taken an architectural tour too. Others Okay, here's what you do. Go to the beach and the Museum of Science & Industry on the first day You could take a tour bus around the city the second day, and go to the rooftop of a building and look at the city beneath you. Don't bother with the field museum. I think it's the most boring museum in Chicago. I live about 30 minutes away and there is alot but they aren't much fun. Museum of Science and industry field museum navy pier Millennium park sears tower john Hancock building the 7 story mall near the Hancock building Also at the top of the mall, is where Oprah Lives!!!! visit 6 flags six flags!! If you only have 2 days, go to Navy Pier. Go at night and ride the Ferris Wheel!! Go to a baseball game if you can. Are you into museums? We have some great ones. It really all depends what your interests are. If you go on the Chicago website it will tell you what is going on the days you will be here. There is a festival about every week all summer. Here's a site with all the attractions, events, and things to do: http://www.chicagotraveler.com/... This year's Taste of Chicago will take place June 29-July 8, 2007...It's an annual party held in Grant Park. If you're here then...make sure to go. I don't know, what realy do you want to see, but i can sugesty not leave Chicago wiht out visit the Sears Towers, also the Navy Pier if you be hire on Wednesday or Saturday nigth don't miss the fire work over the lake by Navy Pier. |
