Is there a train that runs from Chicago to tinleypark?

Travel Tips
The best way to get to Tinley Park via Public Transportation is not the El (This runs mainly in the city and northern suburbs only) but the Metra, specifically the Rock Island train. Watch it though as during the weekends the service is not as frequent on the Rock Island and the cost is $3.90 each way. If you are travelling on the weekends there is a $5 Metra special that will enable you to take any of the trains an unlimited amount of times. Source(s): http://metrarail.com/schedule.html... Other Travel Tips
I don't think you'll have a problem since the EL's will get you where you need to go--I lived there for four years and didn't have a problem.
Go to the website for Metra [thats the name of the train]
Trains to Tinley Park are on the South side of Union Station. You can buy a ticket on the train but I recommend buying it at the station because it is a bit higher on the train.
