What is the fastest way to get from Midway airport in Chicago to Mc'cormick place during rush hour? |
Travel Info Am I better to take the CTA andif so what line and then a cab, or better to take a cab directly (my flight land at 8:30 in the morning) Travel Tips 312-836-7000 is our transportation info hotline. you can speak to an operator who will direct you to from point A to point B in the easiest or quickest way there. Others Cheapest way (and it would take about an hour): Get on the Orange Line at Midway Airport (follow the signs for Rapid Transit Orange Line) and take it to Randolph and Wabash. Once you get down the stairs you can walk a block to the Metra Electric Trains at Randolph and Michigan and catch a train that will take you right to 23rd Street/McCormick Place (Metra Electric). You can also take other buses to get to McCormick and a cab from downtown but that would cost about $10 or so. The El and the Bus would cost you $2.30....the El plus the Metra Electric would cost you $4.15 or so....but this would take you right to the Expo Center. http://www.metrarail.com http://www.transitchicago.com/ Take the Orange Line to the Roosevelt stop. Get off and walk east about two blocks. Take the No. 3 King Drive bus. It will let you off right in front of McCormick Place. Total Price: About $4 ($2 for the train and $2 for the bus) |
