Maxx 11 North State Street Chicago, IL 60602 (312) 553-0515 All of them. seriously, state street is a pretty big street that stretches pretty far. I mean, they wrong a song about it("...on State Street, that great street, they work hard each day...") Anyway, I assume you mean the main section downtown. In that case, there's Macy's, H&M, Filene's Basement, TJ Mazz New York and Company, a bunch of new women's boutique type stores, a couple of shoe stores, a Borders bookstore... like I said, a lot of stores. and that's just the downtown section... It all depends on what part of State Street you are on in Chicago.... State Street begins on the far south side and goes to North Avenue on the North....there aren't many stores south of Roosevelt Road other than the corner type grocery stores and a few gas stations peppered here and there. Once you get north of Congress Parkway, there are a number of bigger and smaller stores...from bookstores (2 Barnes and Noble Booksellers and 1 Borders) to department stores (Macy's and Sears) to hotels (Palmer House to name one), men's stores (Men's Warehouse), concert/theater venues (Chicago Theater, House of Blues), and of course places to eat/drink (steak houses and the like). North of State Street is known as the Gold Coast as there are many smaller shops...clothing and jewelry to name a couple. See the website I'm enclosing for shopping all around downtown Chicago. http://www.thelocaltourist.com/shopping/... |
